The Landmines Convention is growing in popularity, but the country you are working in has not yet ratified it. What would your plan of action be for promoting and advocating ratification of this treaty? Do you see any advantages or disadvantages (military, political, economic, etc.) with UNICEF taking a firm stand on the need for your duty country to ratify the Landmines Convention? What about in a situation where landmines are used in a part of the country held by rebels?
