Case study 3

In the situation where you are working, it may be difficult to raise issues that are gender sensitive. Imagine that you are looking for ways to promote international humanitarian law and human rights law through traditional and religious values. What are the problems faced when trying to address human rights abuses as an individual and as an organization particularly regarding gender sensitivities? How can we create a space within culture to discuss issues of abuse against women and children? How can agencies work in areas where there is a breakdown of traditional values and new coping mechanisms are introduced? How would you involve various groups on the field level in these activities?
