Case study 2

Some 2,000 children have been held in an internally displaced persons camp for the past three years. According to the government children are kept in this facility due to an ongoing state of emergency. You are not satisfied with the situation they are in and go in to collect more detailed information about how they are doing. What type of gender sensitive information will you be looking for? What legal basis would you have for an analysis of the human rights situation? What will you do with the information that you have collected?
